Bayleys becomes a household name in Taranaki
Two years ago, the well-established Taranaki real estate company Robert Angus & Associates Ltd joined forces with one of New Zealand’s largest real estate companies, Bayleys Realty Group, to form Bayleys Taranaki.
Bayleys’ executive chairman John Bayley says that moving into Taranaki was part of an expansion plan to establish a presence in strategic locations throughout New Zealand, and complete a national network of branches and agencies.
“We identified Taranaki as a significant growth opportunity, and were waiting for the right opportunity to enter the market. We also wanted to partner with a local company whose reputation and people matched that of the Bayleys’ brand – and Robert Angus & Associates Ltd certainly met that criterion of quality,” John Bayley said.
Opening Bayleys’ 60th New Zealand office in Taranaki re-established strong family business ties with the province.
John Bayley’s grandfather on one side of the family tree, George Bayley, was a lawyer in Hawera, while his grandfather on the other side of the family tree was a bank manger in Stratford.
“There is increasing interest in Taranaki property from other parts of New Zealand, as well as offshore. Bayleys is able to tap into these markets very effectively with our well-established client databases, internet site, property portfolios and marketing initiatives,” said John Bayley.
Bayleys Taranaki co-owner Neale Parkinson said the company is strongly focused on obtaining success for clients through a high profile marketing approach - matching residential, commercial and industrial, and country properties with the most suitable buyers… all the time ensuring that customers’ property asset values were maximised.
“We also have a genuine desire and commitment to enriching the greater Taranaki community by supporting key local events,” said Neale Parkinson who is now the branch manager for Bayleys Taranaki where he plays an integral role in ensuring that local service remains paramount under the umbrella of a strong national brand.
